During this period, they shadow our experienced full-time grooms across multiple facilities, gaining hands-on experience in different environments and with horses of varying temperaments and needs. Our rigorous training process covers all aspects of horse care, including grooming, feeding, exercising, and managing challenging situations, ensuring that every groom is confident, skilled, and capable of delivering the highest standard of service.

Training

At Midnight Blue Equestrian, we maintain the highest standards by ensuring all our grooms meet stringent qualifications. Each groom is required to have a minimum of Level 3 Animal Welfare certification or an equivalent qualification, demonstrating their expertise in animal care and management. Additionally, all our grooms are certified by the British Grooms Association (BGA), ensuring they adhere to professional and ethical standards in equestrian care. They are also trained in advanced first aid for both animals and humans, equipping them to handle emergencies with confidence and skill. For your peace of mind, every groom undergoes a thorough DBS check, ensuring safety and reliability in every aspect of their role. This commitment to excellence guarantees that your horse is always in capable and trustworthy hands.

They are covered by public liability insurance up to £2 million, ensuring protection in any unforeseen incidents involving third parties. Additionally, we provide comprehensive accident cover for our grooms, safeguarding their well-being while they care for your horses. To further ensure a worry-free experience, we include separate horse accident cover to address any emergencies specific to your horse's health or safety. Your facilities are also insured, guaranteeing that the environment where your horse is cared for meets the highest standards of protection.
